Yes, ladies and gentlemen I am talking to you about the famous city of Dubai. Dubai was established in 1833, and it definitely built its way up. Today I will be telling you guys about interesting facts about the city of Dubai. Let’s start out by saying that Dubai is the most populous city in all of the United Arab Emirates, and another interesting fact is that 2.2 million of the citizens living in Dubai come from an Indian background. Now it’s interesting to find out why and how cities got their name. Well Dubai was named Dubai, because it comes from the word “Dada” which means “to creep”
and that is because of the slow Dubai creek inland. You may have seen or heard that Dubai is very famous for it’s large and tall buildings, and one of its tallest buildings is called the Burj Khalifa,
and it is the tallest man-made structure in the world!!! That’s insane! It has 163 floors total, and it has on the 144th floor the tallest nightclub, and world’s highest restaurant on the 122nd floor. It even has the highest elevator distance, which is 504 meters!!
Another interesting fact is that The Burj Khalifa also has the highest fountain, it shoots water 130 meters high into the air. This building has it all!!! It’s so amazing and still so elegant. Now as people we really enjoy shopping, especially in a city like Dubai, I mean come on! So Dubai has the largest shopping mall,
it is amazing to go inside and look at the interior of the beautiful designs it has within. At the same time look at the beautiful clothes that are awaiting for you to buy! 😛 Now let me tell you that the residents in Dubai are living very nicely as well.
The Princess Building is the tallest residential building in the entire world! Now when talking about transportation, Dubai just takes the cake on technological advancement; Dubai has the longest automated rail network.
The most coolest thing about it is that it runs without drivers. These amazing advances definitely benefits this amazing city and its residents and visitors. You never feel behind with the technology. There is another technological advancement that Dubai has made which is called Jetman,
which is practically personal wings that are put on individuals and they can fly in the air as high as an airplane flies. This is an amazing invention for exploring the world and being able to achieve the wish of all mankind…to fly!!! This amazing city has so much to offer and especially has so many views to give and to be wowed at every angle.
