2. Be open minded

Being open-minded about travel destinations and flexible with your dates will give you lots of amazing home exchange vacation options. You’ll have the opportunity to discover gems you may have never heard of otherwise.

3. Start searching for a home exchange a few months in advance

Request exchanges a few months out from your intended travel dates, as it will take a bit of time to find the right home exchange partners and organize your swap.

4. Communicate, Communicate!

Communicate with potential home exchange partners in as many ways you can - via email, phone, social media and skype. Get to know your potential partners a bit and you’ll know soon enough if they are a good match for you. Home Exchange is really about the people, and many home exchangers become life-long friends with those they swap with.

5. You’ve found an exchange, now what?

Key steps in preparing for your home exchange include: arranging with neighbors to handover keys, asking friends to help your visitors while you’re away, checking your home and car insurance, and cleaning your home for your home exchange partners. Find out more on CasaVersa’s FAQs.
